MaryLee is a Business & Industry Specialist for Aerospace & Defense within the Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration. With a background in export controls, trade and technology policy, and international strategic planning, MaryLee is an alumna of the Aerospace Industries Association where she covered the export controls and defense trade portfolios for industry members. In this capacity, MaryLee steered the trade association on issues ranging from export control regulations and trade legislation to foreign military sales modernization.
MaryLee has worked for industry to advance international business programs as a technology
release and trade compliance professional. Her industry background includes export licensing for civil and commercial space programs, technology release and foreign disclosure policy for
unmanned aircraft systems and payload programs, and experience with both direct commercial and foreign military sales. Additionally, MaryLee supported strategic go-to-market program planning for commercial and defense research and development projects forecasted for
international markets.
MaryLee graduated from the University of Florida with bachelor’s degrees in international
studies and business administration. She is from Tampa, Florida and is writing a historical fiction novel in her free time.
