As the Vice President of Strategy & Growth for SparkCognition Government Systems(SGS), David Mazar is responsible for building out and refining SGS’s go-to-market strategy, partnership strategies, and growth plans including mergers & acquisitions (M&A) and fundraising efforts.
Prior to joining SGS, David spent nearly 12 years at The Boeing Company in various positions and with increasing responsibility and leadership. He began his career in
finance, supporting multiple defense and space customers in contracts, estimating, and pricing roles. David then shifted into corporate strategy, where he supported Boeing Global Services Defense markets including Training Systems and Mobility. From there, he took on a chief of staff role in Boeing’s Defense Space and Security business where he supported key M&A, organizational design, and strategy initiatives. His next role came in the opportunity to support the stand-up Boeing’s innovation and venture capital unit, HorizonX, and later the Future Mobility unit, Boeing NeXt. In this role, David was responsible for crafting a strategy for Urban Air Mobility (UAM) for Boeing and executing
multiple strategic partnerships and M&A activities including the Wisk and SkyGrid joint ventures.
David holds an MBA from the Olin School of Business at Washington University in Saint Louis and a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Central Missouri. He has also continued his education through an Executive Education program at Harvard Business School.
