Mr. Vasek is the Director of Systems Engineering and Analytics at Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc (SPA) headquartered in Alexandria, VA. In his role, he is leading the digital transformation efforts at SPA, for Navy PEO IWS directorate for Above Water Sensors and Lasers, and contributed to the Systems Engineering Transformation efforts within Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) over the past seven years. Mr. Vasek has previously been a Group Leader, Contract Manager, and Program Manager overseeing Systems Engineering, Policy and Programmatic support for Navy SSP and is a Principle Systems Engineer standing up high profile programs such as the Navy’s Columbia Class SSBN, Air Force Sentinel ICBM, and Navy’s Trident II Strategic Weapon System (SWS) second Life Extension among others.
Prior to joining SPA, Mr. Vasek served in the Navy as a Submarine Officer on board the USS Maine (SSBN 741) as the Assistant Engineer, Quality Assurance Officer, and Communications Officer. Mr. Vasek received a Master’s in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and is a Certified Systems Engineering Professional through the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE).
