Colonel Aaron Rivers is the Commander, 309th Aircraft Maintenance Group, Ogden Air Logistics Complex, Hill AFB, UT. The Aircraft Maintenance Group employs over 2,200 civilians in seven squadrons and one Geographically Separated Unit to provide maintenance repair and overhaul on F-35, A-10, Navy/USMC C-130, F-16, F-22, and T-38 aircraft. Additionally, the group oversees the Air Force’s busiest Expeditionary Depot Maintenance Flight, consisting of 76 military technicians who provide Aircraft Battle Damage Repair and Depot Field Team support for the warfighter.
Colonel Rivers received his commission in 2000 through the Air Force ROTC program at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, NY. He has held various positions in maintenance and acquisitions across 6 six major commands at the squadron, group, depot, and MAJCOM level, and has experience on A-10, B-52, C-17, C-130, C-5, E-3, F-16, F-22, F-35, and T-38 aircraft. Prior to this assignment, Lt Col Rivers was the Deputy Group Commander for the unit.
