In his role as Managing Director of Airframe Maintenance, Rick Uber oversees the airframe maintenance operation for both Base and Supplier Operations which includes MRO partners across the globe for Delta Air Lines.
Rick began his career in the aviation directly out of high school when he volunteered for the USMC and worked as an aircraft mechanic on the AV8 Harrier aircraft, there he got his experience to test with the FAA and became an AMT, and from there it has been a journey of increasing responsibilities.
Prior to his current role at Delta Air Lines, Rick spent his career in MRO sites across the US and Mexico. In these roles Rick was responsible to carry out the maintenance programs of multiple customers. It was these experiences that has shaped his desire and passion for the MRO industry. The challenges afforded him the opportunity to develop the skills required to understand the variety of obstacles facing the MRO industry daily. These skills have allowed him to quickly dissect issues and implement long term strategies.
