As Managing Director of Fleet Engineering, Jon Oberdick is responsible for technical oversight of the various fleet types for the Tech Ops Organization. His organization provides an integrated ‘life of the aircraft’ focus on performance, reliability, and operational improvement. Additional responsibilities include Maintenance Programs and Reliability.
Jon has 26 years of US Airways / American Airlines experience with nineteen years in management positions. His experience includes all technical aspects of aircraft maintenance such as new aircraft acquisitions; structural repairs / modifications; avionics upgrades; interior reconfigurations; systems upgrades; aircraft livery; significant event investigations; aircraft recovery and accident investigations; shop support; chemical issues; parts configuration / control; and day to day support of Line Maintenance. Prior to that, Jon held positions in engineering with Lockheed and General Dynamics.
