Nigel Sawyers-Abbott has over 20 years’ experience in the aerospace industry and is currently managing MRO Technology Development for Pratt & Whitney. As a leader in MRO technology development, he is engaged in progressing a suite of technology developments for repair materials and processes, inspection technologies, digital MRO and automation for the sixteen Pratt & Whitney Repair and overhaul facilities around the world.

Nigel joined Pratt & Whitney in 2011 and has worked in variety of roles of systems design and technology integration both on the OEM side of the business and for the last two years in aftermarket operations.

Prior to joining Pratt & Whitney, he worked at GE Aviation in Baltimore for 10 years working on nacelle design and propulsion system integration as well as technology development. He graduated from the University of Hertfordshire (UK) with a Bachelor of Aeronautical Engineering and holds a Master of Science in Advanced Aircraft Design from Cranfield University (UK).
