Fred Murphy holds the position of Chairman & CEO for FEAM Maintenance/Engineering. In 1992, “Fred & Everett’s” Aircraft Maintenance was started(F&E). The company was founded on the idea that with airline costs constantly increasing, airlines being less flexible and prioritizing their own aircraft maintenance first, there may be a niche for a 3rd party maintenance provider that could deliver high quality maintenance at a reasonable cost. Fred Murphy took this vision and the goal of becoming the world’s leading third party maintenance and engineering service provider, offering cost effective, reliable and unmatched customer services. Now 29 years later FEAM has gone from two guys and a truck to over 1200 employees, extended the FEAM network from one to include 28 fully rated FAA approved maintenance stations across the U.S.
FEAM has expanded international certifications to include the following: Korean MOLIT Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO), Bermuda DCA AMO, Singapore CAAS 145 Repair Station, European EASA 145 Repair Station, Japan JCAB Repair Station.
FEAM has completed a new 100,000 square foot wide body maintenance facility at Cincinnati International Airport (CVG) to support DHL and Amazon fleets. This facility opened at the end of 2019 and complements the recently renovated hangar facilities in Miami International Airport for A check services.
