Giovanni Spitale is vice president of Commercial Parts within Boeing Global Services. In this role, Spitale has full responsibility for the profit and loss management, and strategic direction of Boeing’s roughly $4 billion portfolio of commercial aircraft and engine parts businesses. Giovanni works closely with the Supply Chain organization to deliver market leading services to Boeing customers. Prior to this role, Giovanni was an integral leader within Global Services, serving as vice president of the Actuation vertical since December of 2019.
Spitale joined Boeing from Milacron, where he was president of customer sales and support and revitalized Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) initiatives to enable a rapid go-to-market strategy. In addition, his extensive aerospace experience includes serving as president and CEO of GE Aviation’s Unison Industries, leading a $1B global business unit that produced highly engineered solutions for aviation and industrial market segments. He also was general manager of GE Aviation’s Flight Efficiency Services, and he led the global C919 Avionics program launch of AVIAGE JV in China.
He also has held leadership roles at Moog, where he focused on Business Jet Programs, and Honeywell, where a focus area was cockpit avionics. Previously, Spitale – a U.S. Navy veteran – served as a nuclear propulsion plant supervisor.
Spitale has a bachelor’s in nuclear engineering technology from Thomas Edison State College and an MBA from Arizona State’s W.P. Carey School of Business.
