With 8 years of Aviation experience, Addisu started his career in Ethiopian Airlines Maintenance, Overhaul and Repair organization in a different division as a Line and Base Maintenance Technician for 3 years before moving to Engineering as Associate Engineer.
With Ethiopian, he was an Airframe Technician on various Aircraft Cabin and Structures on B737 –NG, B757,B767, B787 and Project Manager for A/C EIS on B787. His education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering and a diploma in A&P in aviation maintenance when he joined Ethiopian, in 2011.
Addisu, currently working in Ethiopian MRO - Engine Maintenance Technical Support division, moved in 2016 as a Project Engineer - for GEnx -1B and CFM56 Overhaul & Repair capability program development, he leads Tooling, Machineries, Facility and Training requirements.
He coordinates shop visit, develops repair processes for parts, tooling and confirm parts have regulatory approval for Engines and APU maintenance repair capability.
