Satyam is a director with the PwC Advisory Analytics practice. He has more than 11 years of experience in development and implementation of advanced analytical techniques across different industries. He has worked with clients in various sectors, such as energy, airlines, hotels, finance, retail, and entertainment. Prior to PwC, Satyam has worked in the pricing/revenue management optimization group at Marriott International and in the operations research group at United Airlines. He also leads the PwC’s Predictive Maintenance platform.
Other previous experience includes leading a team that evaluated the potential of data monetization and identified potential go to market solutions for a prominent aerospace and defense company. For a leading cargo US airline, Satyam led a team that developed predictive maintenance model to predictive specific component delays using ACAR messages and maintenance log. He also led an analytics team that developed delay prediction model using aircraft messages and maintenance log information for a Fortune 500 US commercial airline.
He holds a PhD in Decision Sciences and Engineering System from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY, an MS in Industrial and Management Engineering, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY as well as a B.Tech (Hons.) in Industrial Engineering, IIT-Roorkee, India.
