Military Global Logistics

  • Wednesday, 04/10/2019: 11:30 AM - 12:15 PM
  • Session Number:  217

Dealing with the pre-planned and the unexpected. “Parts is parts” as the expression goes, but while the mechanics of the logistics process may be similar to what FedEx and UPS does globally, the requirements are often different and more intricate. Security, regulations, and in theater conditions mount significant challenges. How does the military provide for secure shipping on a global scale involving heavy lift and heavy haul to remote locations? What more can the industry do in an intermodal fashion to get the job done on time and efficiently. How can we meet the needs around the world of what the warfighter says he needs?
