Beyond Predictive Maintenance

  • Thursday, 04/11/2019: 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
  • Session Number:  126

Big Data has taken the predictability of leading fleet maintenance failures to new levels. Going further than physical science, this session will examine using statistical science to get the most value from the data you already have. Airlines can fly more planned schedules by collaboration across data sets. The use of maintenance log pages to add to aircraft failure messages, thus turning data into useful and actionable information to controllers is one example.  The opportunity exists to change unscheduled maintenance to scheduled maintenance enhancing aircraft availability. Data can impact more than maintenance but also improve overall operations.
